At Kita Balu, a total of 56 children are cared for each day:12 children in each of the four toddler groups7 babies in the baby group

Kita Balu is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.Drop-off is between 6:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., and pick-up is between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

At Kita Balu, we care for children from 3 months of age until they start kindergarten.During their first year of kindergarten, children can also attend Kita Balu for morning and afternoon care. The fees remain the same as before.

Kita Balu does not serve pork. Our meals are balanced and child-friendly and are prepared without excessive seasoning or salt.Kita Balu is part of the Purzelbaum project, which promotes healthy eating and a wide variety of physical activities.We are also happy to accommodate vegetarian diets, lactose intolerance, and similar dietary needs at parents’ request.

We place particular emphasis on a gentle settling-in period for the children in our care. New children are gradually introduced to the group over a period of two to three weeks. We follow the Berlin settling-in model , which is based on close cooperation with parents. This model stipulates that the children's primary caregivers remain present initially to provide security, and the settling-in process is gradual , allowing the child to build trust in the new environment and caregivers at their own pace .
